
The Board voted to request a Special Assessment for road maintenance; this issue was discussed at the annual meeting in May, 2017. A letter detailing specific costs, repairs and timeline for the road maintenance project was included in your July Homeowner’s Association mailing. The first phase (Item #1 below only) began on July 19 and continued on July 26. However, this phase comprised only a portion of the overall maintenance needed for roads in our PHEHA community. The Special Assessment is intended to provide the PHEHA with additional funds to fully complete the project (Items #2-5 below). Once this maintenance is completed, the Board hopes to accomplish routine maintenance with funds from our regular/existing quarterly fee assessments.
We ask that you consider the long term benefits of road improvement – for our convenience and for the overall appearance of our community. Certainly, improved road quality will enhance property values and provide adequate roadway for emergency vehicles. The results of the vote from residents of the Pilot Hill Estates Homeowners Association can be found in the follow up letter that also included the invoice for sending payment of $500 by September 22, 2017. To summarize, 34 votes were needed to pass the Special Assessment: We received 39 “yes” votes, 17 “no” votes, and 10 “absentee” votes; hence, the Association received more than the required minimum “yes” votes to pass the Special Assessment.
